Hey everyone,

I thought it'd be great to kick off a thread about our go-to spots for buying firearms and gear. I mean, we all know how important it is to find a gun shop that feels trustworthy, right? What do you guys look for in a shop? Is it the selection of used guns, the prices, or maybe how they handle transfers?

I've had my share of both good and sketchy experiences, and I'm sure you have too. There's this little shop in [your location] that I just love; the staff there are super knowledgeable and they have fair prices on transfers. What shops do you recommend? Let's get a good list going and help each other out!

I've only been in AZ a year but the gunshop that I like best so far is Murphy's in Tucson. Good selection, fair prices and good to deal with.
I've been to Murphy's several times. I found a nice Colt New Service Target there awhile ago. Great shop.

I'm up in Payson and there are several shops here. Diamond Point Gun Shop is a great little Family run shop. Also Chasing A Dream Archery Shop also has a nice selection of new and used firearms. They also are good to use for transfers if you get something off gun Broker or some other online outfit.

Some of my favorites are Diamondback Shooting Sports, Turner's Outdoorsman, and Guns & Gold Pawn in Rillito. I've been in AZ since 2001, so I remember when it was Diamondback Police Supply and when Turner's was Second Amendment Sports and before that Jensen's Arizona Sportsman. The Hub is another good shop. I haven't been in Murphy's in many years, but they were good, too.

Guns & Gold Pawn in Rillito is awesome because they do FFL transfers for active & retired military and police at no charge. They are a small family-run store and they are super nice. I always try to buy something else from them when I pick up a transferred firearm since they don't charge a transfer fee.
