Non-ported shoots pretty soft, could only imagine how soft the ported one is.

I shot one at the range, now I just bought one. sportsmans , they have them on sale w/NTS. Under $400 OTD with my discount. It's nice to shoot and accurate enough with 12 rounds.

I have a SIG P365 9mm which I carry & I shoot it regularly despite it being a bit “snappy”. I bought the ported version expecting great things and honestly couldn’t tell much difference. Along with the extra barrel length for porting they lengthened the grip and suddenly the whole reason I liked my 365 was gone. Sold it and went back to the original one.

I tried the 365 in 9mm and found it pretty snappy. I hit 80 this year and the hands are not what they were in my 20's. I tried my daughter's 365 in 380 and it was just fine.
I could still shoot OK with the 365 in 9mm, but high round count training days at the range (200-250) rounds were not fun.
I am good with a compact or full size pistol in 9mm and 45, just not the micros.
One has to find what works best in their hands. Lots of good options out there.

Yesterday I shot 150 rounds each through my S&W 27-2 .357 Mag and S&W 24-3 Lew Horton .44 Special. My hands are telling me about it today. Really gets the arthritis going but can't just shoot .22's!
I got rid of all my hard kickers. I had a Glock 29 in 10mm with a Lone Wolf .40 S&W barrel. Hurt even with 40's. Sold it and got an old Taurus TH .40 night and day. My preferred round is .38 Super in a full size 1911.

I had to look up what a S&W Bodyguard was and now know it is a .380. I most often carry a Ruger LCP Max in .380. I'm a real fan of pocket holsters, especially Vedder Pocket Lockers. When walking at night I usually carry a Glock 30S (.45 ACP) naked in my pocket or cram it and a holster made for IWB into the pocket. It prints like crazy but having a bigger caliber with a light makes me feel safer. I should probably just get used to OWB carry. I'd hoped to snag me a Glock 29 in 10mm like oldracer1 had, but they are no longer made. I've not shot it yet, but the compact 10mm I recently acquired is a S&W XD-M Elite, with a 3.8" barrel. It fits in a pocket like the G30S does. I need to get to Ted's, or another range, and see how bad it kicks.

Do you mean a Springfield XD-M Elite? I imagine that will kick like a mule in 10mm.

Yes; Springfield XD-M Elite is what I meant. I even got the box from under my desk and still messed that up
