I'm in the process of waiting for my suppressor approval and would love to hear how long it took for others. Did you use eForms or the traditional paper method? Any suggestions for someone just beginning their NFA journey would be appreciated.

Gee, I read that the $200.00 fee goes away in 2026, but you still need to file as usual.

You will still need to jump through all the hoops.
All they are doing is taking away the tax.

I was going to wait till the first of the year to save that $200. I asked the same question should I wait. The majority said get it now. that was four months. It took about 2 week to get mine. I was stupid. I did the electronic thing with finger prints. The when I picked it up, I had to fill out the paper forms. Seems redundant to me! Now only uses it for the first time last month.

A few years ago my first can was over a year . The second was at the atf for 10 months with the next one at 8 months and another at 3 weeks . I got all 3 cans on the same day . All e filed and trust. Yes 3 cans all different purchases and got the same day . My buddy got his new can in less than a week . I'm waiting till the tax stamp is gone in 26 and then I'll buy a big bore can for my large cal stuff . I'd strongly suggest buying from a lgs with a kiosk . Everything can be done the same day prints ,pictures, and forms . There's still gonna be the paperwork in 26 just no $206 . Tax stamp.
