Hit up a local lake in Arizona the other day, trying to reel in some bass. The weather was pretty nice, sunny but not too hot, and the water was pretty clear. I tossed out a couple of different crankbaits and a drop shot, but only managed to land one decent size bass. Took a few missed strikes too, so I think they were just playing around with the bait. It was a solo trip, which meant I got to enjoy my coffee in peace—until I realized I forgot my pliers again! How's everyone else finding the fish this year? Any luck out there?

Sounds like a pretty chill day, even if the bass was being a bit tricky. That moment when you sip your coffee alone, total bliss. Well, until you run into the whole pliers fiasco. Trust me, I've been there more times than I care to admit lol

Have not fished for a while, still pretty hot, but did check out Silver Springs over labor day and people seemed to be doing pretty well. Have been tying flies for crappie and bass and will head to Patagonia soon and our annual trip to the white mountains and reservation in mid October for trout.
