Pistol recoil springs

Just out of curiosity, how frequently do you change the recoil springs in your pistols?

The only one I've ever changed was on my glock 20 when I changed the guides rod and went with a heavier spring .

If you shoot a lot, you should have an armorers tune done every 5 years. Check /replace springs, etc.

I replaced the recoil spring on my S&W 469 (made in mid 80's) a couple years ago but not on any other of my pistols. They all work just fine.

I don't stress about it enough. I just pay attention to how the gun feels when I’m shooting. For the pistols I use frequently, I usually end up swapping springs fairly often because I can tell when the slide starts to feel a bit too “snappy” or when the ejection pattern begins to drift.
