Question about 9mms

With so many new compact 9mm models hitting the market lately, have manufacturers truly nailed this category or is there still room for meaningful advancements?

I think compact handguns are better than ever, but not perfect yet. Triggers keep getting better and optic cuts are great but the grip and how well they shoot still changes a lot between brands.
