If I had to choose my absolute favorite, itd definitely be a mix of classic and modern: I’m talking about a WASR-10 as the base. Upgraded with a Zenitco handguard, an Ultimak gas tube rail, and a Primary Arms micro red dot. This setup keeps that rugged, tried-and-true AK spirit while adding just the right amount of modern touch. It’s super versatile and, best of all, it doesn’t sacrifice any of that legendary reliability we all love.

I bought an AK just to see what they are like. I replaced the solid plastic butt stock, moved the trigger group forward, and added the hand grip. Probably haven’t shot it in 8 years.
