Sterling Davenport custom rifles

A close friend passed away recently and several of his friends and I have been helping his widow identify and sell some of his firearms.

Sterling Davenport was a respected rifle maker, living in Tucson, and crafted some of my friend's rifles. Sterling passed away some time ago.

We are trying to locate someone who is familiar with Sterling's handiwork to help us confirm that several of the rifles the widow has were indeed made by Sterling.

Any help out there?

Go to Guns International. One of his Safari rifles was listed for $7500 and sold.

We has seen that and some other sales of his rifles online for some serious money.

I think my friend had his 340 WBY done by Lawson/Sterling
