You can't really complete your deer scouting without setting up a few cameras in the best spots. Where do you position yours, and how do you leverage the footage to plan your hunting trips?

You should read the regulations on game cameras and hunting first.
Over the past few years, Arizona has become stricter on the game camera regulations, so it’s a good idea to stay informed before you set anything up. I’m not looking to break any rules though, I just want to see how others are making the most of their cameras within the guidelines. Personally, I’ve always viewed cameras as a tool to help confirm patterns like where the water holes are, the travel paths and the bedding areas. The footage I capture helps me decide if it’s worth putting in the miles in a certain area or if I should focus my efforts elsewhere.

I’m interested in how others are positioning their cameras now that the rules have changed and whether you’re still finding them useful for planning your hunts around movement and timing.
