What Is Your Favorite Shooting Range?

I'm curious about everyone's favorite shooting ranges out there. Is it the atmosphere, the layout, or how helpful the staff is that draws you in? Share where you like to shoot and what makes it special!

I normally go out to the desert with my friends.
For some reason I felt uncomfortable when in the store/range and I never went forward with shooting at the range. And C2 is a mile down the road, lol

Also is Box Canyon in Maricopa open or now closed for the fire season?

Depends on what I'm shooting I like Rio for Bullseye pistol On Monday nights and Pistol silhouette matches on the first Sunday every month.
PRGC has a good bullseye range and love shooting one gun matches up there.

I belong to the Tonto Rim Sports Club that operates the Jim Jone Shooting Range just south of Payson. It's a pretty good range, but some new folks have been running it and to me they don't care a lot about the regular membership. But it is a dgood place to shoot, especially it stays open when the Forest is closed due to fire restrictions.

Been a Rio Salado member for years. Great range and close to home.
I don't feel safe going out in the desert anymore. Seen a lot of sketchy individuals in the desert, and the trash left by shooters makes me angry.

Also, I have my membership punched for the main range, pistol range, and long range. No need to go anywhere else.

I am all about shotguns. I like the Ben Avery Clay Target range. Good variants of clay shooting. Excellent staff, amenities, and solid ranges.

Desert. Have our own little canyon. No rounds going out, none coming in.
I'm not a range guy either. Especially indoors. Been muzzled too many times PLUS
I like to go to the desert and pack out all the trash I find. Not that I like that part but
I so my fair share +.

I shoot in the national forest because I prefer casual shooting and have tired of looking down careless shooters' bores at ranges. I also like to recover bullets on occasion so I can check the performance of my loads, which I can't do at a range.

In Tucson for indoors it is 520 Tactical. New owners of the old Marksman on 29th St. have remodeled it and do a great job.

For outdoors it is the desert or the County range at the Fairgrounds.

Normally a desert spot I can get out to 700. But fire shutdowns and summer heat pushed me back into shooters world for now.

I like the Tucson Rifle Club at Three Points. I can shoot NRA Silhouette there, both Smallbore and High Power. Can also use the third range for load development.

I believe I shot at that range about 33 or 34 years ago, mid 80's. My dad took me to the NRA Silhouette Smallbore State Shooting Championship, it was a lot of fun.

Every summer we usually stop at the Pinon Cafe when we pass by on our way to, or back from Woods Canyon lake.
