As someone who's just starting with the 1911 platform, I've been doing some dry fire training. I’ve loaded a round and cycled it out about 50x already. Is it something I should worry about like breaking the extractor from all this stuff?

From Wiki...

Dry firing a 1911 is generally considered safe, especially for modern models, as they are designed to withstand this practice without damage. However, using snap caps can help protect the firing pin and other internal components, particularly in older models.

Cycling your 1911 50 times won’t break it. Just don’t keep chambering the same round over and over. Bullet setback can be a problem. Swap it out and keep enjoying your gun.

You’re fine, 1911s are tougher than that. Just maybe rotate that round eventually so it doesn’t start feeling overly experienced
