6mm ARC

Anybody shooting the 6mm ARC in a gas gun? I have heard that there are issues sometimes with magazines feeding properly and the risk of bolts breaking. I am wondering if those are real concerns or mostly just internet babble.

Most issues I’ve seen were magazine related with good mags and proper gas tuning they run fine.

OK. I will find out soon. I ordered a Rise Armament 6mm ARC with an 18" barrel. I have also ordered a Seekins 6mm ARC complete upper with a 22" barrel. Plus reloading dies. Jumping in with both feet.

I almost jumped on the 6mm ARC train last year but after watching a friend struggle with the magazines, I talked myself out of it. When it runs well, it's amazing but it seems like it needs everything to be perfect.

I picked up the Rise Armament Watchman XR 6mm ARC today (18" barrel). I put a Razor HD LHT 3x15x42 SFP scope on it and also added a bipod. I picked up some Frontier 105 FMJ just to put some rounds down range. I will shoot and zero it tomorrow. I also have a couple of boxes of Match ammo to try as well. Hope the darn thing feeds and hope it is accurate.

Feeds fine so far. Quick zero at 25 yards and hitting an 8" steel target at 256 yards just fine. I will shoot to tighten the zero later today. Very pleased so far. Nice scope too. Very clear. I did my shooting on 3 power this morning.
