A few years back in unit 21-A. My good friend who is 94 now got his final deer up behind my property. He is an Az. native and has gotten many deer, but said this was his best outing.

My grandson's first deer when he got back from Iraq. Using my g-dads model 64 WCF. He had a different weapon in Iraq.

I got my first deer with that rifle, my oldest son got his first deer with it now my eldest grandson.

I went deer hunting Nov ‘25. We were looking for 4x4 and up. On the 3rd day my wife called me home for medical issues she was having. I got the call before that evenings hunt. My best friend was informed and he was just there to help and camp out. I told him I have to eat the tag and head out early Monday as soon as I could get camp packed up. Since he struck out on his hunt the previous week he asked me if I could go ahead and try to get one of the smaller bucks we have been seeing and let him take it home. He loves mule deer table fare.
So I told him “sure!”, just make me some steaks next time. So we set out about an hour before sundown, glassed up the same heard and there was a forky at 200 yards. I set up on primos walking/shooting sticks and right at 200 I hit this one with my 280AI and a 131 gr Hammer Hunter thru the heart. He field dressed it and back to camp so we could quarter and get him on ice. All in we both got to share the moment and get some young deer in the freezer we can both enjoy.
