hey folks, just picked up my first 10/22, and wow, I totally get why everyone loves these little rifles! shoots like a dream right outta the box, but the customization options are what really grabbed me.

I'm trying not to go crazy with upgrades right off the bat, but I wanna make it my own, you know? what are some upgrades or mods you've done that really boosted your experience or just made it more fun to shoot?

what do you think is the first thing I should tackle?

I don't have one, but on a rainy day, to avoid fire risk, it's fun to use tracers.

Reach out to Velocity Triggers, They sell a trigger upgrade and magazine release extension for them. Makes for a sweet upgrade.

Here's an entirely different take on 10-22's.

I don't have a 10/22, But I shoot Benchrest and trigger pull makes a lot off better grouping. I have a Timney and it is set at 8 to 12 ounces. You must be very careful till you get use to it. I also have a couple rifles in .22Lr & .17 HMR that came from the factory with just over the 1 pound. All my rimfires are set below two pounds.
Personally, I won't put a cheap scope on any rifle. My scopes on my rime fires stat at $500 and go up to $2K. I only use FFP (First Focal Plane)

Next Extra mags and a longer release lever.

And now I've had my other barrels with the exception of my new Lever Action Winchester 9417 threaded for a suppressor. (I got the MASK)

Since I shoot out to & Past 200 yards, I shoot the better $18 to $25 box ammo. From S&K, Lapula, RWS to Center X. I have found that even some of the less expensive ammo can shoot well to, but subject to more flyers.
Have fun and enjoy!
