I successfully hunted pheasants and then realized I had no real plan for what came next. I had birds but very little experience processing or cooking them. The first attempt was not great but the second attempt after learning properly was completely different. Harvesting is only part of the process..

That’s the real learning curve, success doesn’t end at the shot, it starts a whole new skillset.

My brother and I used to hunt pheasants when I was still living in the Midwest. Always fun hunts. Sometimes when walking a cornfield, you almost step on them before they take off and boy does that get your heart rate up and create a lot of excitement!

That’s how it goes, first one’s always messy but you learn fast once you’ve done it yourself.
