Since moving here in 08, I have never been drawn for anything. Just busted out of turkey and deer again. So my rifle sits. Giving up trying to hunt AZ except dove and quail.
Next year I'm just going to buy a non-resident tag in Cali and go with my brother in law over there.

33 is one of the best units in the state for whitetail.
It would be a tough hunt with a muzzle loader though.

I'm not much of a deer hunter, but isn't there over the counter licenses for archery?

I built my 35 Whelen on a 98 Mauser commercial made Santa Barbara in 1976 as I was leaving gunsmithing school. I used a Shilen barrel, with a Canjar trigger and a custom cut walnut stock. Topped it off with a 2X7 Burris scope. I shot a lot of black and grizzly bears with it. It also took many moose and elk in the years we lived in Edmonton Alberta. Its too bad the Bitterroot bullets are not longer made. Their 220 gr. partion bullet worked as they said it would giving me a great success in my hunts.
