Rio Salado Shooting Range and The Shooting Range

I shoot at Wickenburg Sportsmen Club 4½ miles from my home. 22lr on Monday, Bullseye on Tuesday and the new NRA American Rifle Challenge once a month. Membership range, matches open to public. Friendly bunch of guys, a bunch come from Suprise. Did the desert when I first moved from Washington but around Wickenburg there are lots of UTV trails that I ride and even with all the hills it was just a pain in the rear to set up, take down and never know when something comes over the hill even though they are supposed to stay on the trail and not cross country. And of course Wickenburg is the roping capital of USA and all the horse riders who can ride cross-country. Much easier and safer for me and others to be at a range. I do not worry about being one of those shooters who comes and leave garbage, brass included in the desert. Even 22lr brass is garbage in the desert and gives all shooters a bad reputation.

Wow no votes yet for Cowtown. it is a haul for most of the valley but the freedom and personal responsibility is great. Lots of tactical bays and long range platforms. Been a member for several years. Also member of a Squad at C2 and worked PT in the gunsmith shop at SGC after retiring. Now that I have been shooting outside at Cowtown, indoor is pretty confined and limiting.
