While diving into the reliability of rimfire cartridges, I've started to notice that the .22 Magnum might not be as consistent as the .22 LR when it comes to ignition. Has anyone else observed this across various platforms or ammo brands?

I shoot more 22 than anything else.
When it comes to Magnum vs LR having failures to fire.
LR has , by far more failures to fire than Magnums do.
Over the years , I have had very few 22 Magnum rounds fail to fire.
22LR on the other hand , failures to fire are quite frequent .
Winchester ammo is by far the worst.

In my experience, the .22 WMR has been far more reliable than .22 LR. In over a half century of using the .22 WMR, I can't recall ever having a dud round. In contrast, .22 LR has been a crap shoot depending upon the ammo brand. I'm had fewest duds with CCI and Aguila .22 LR.

I've noticed that .22 LR is usually more reliable when it comes to ignition compared to .22 Magnum. In my rifles, bulk .22 LR performs surprisingly well while .22 Mag can be a bit tricky depending on the brand.
