Are you team carbine or mid-length?

Are we seeing mid-length gas take over as the new norm for 16" ARs or do people still favor carbine setups for certain situations?

Just built a 450 bushmaster and it is mid length . Last was a 300blk and so a little guys. The 223 at 18 and 20 are rifle length.

Sounds like you’ve got a nice range of builds happening. Going with a mid-length for the 450 Bushmaster is a smart move to help control that recoil. The 450 and 300 BLK setups probably feel quite different even though they’re both mid-length just because of the cartridges.

Anyone else using mid-length on their bigger bore AR builds? I’m curious about what you’re looking in terms of reliability and felt recoil compared to carbine-length systems.
