I'm looking for a solid case trimmer, but I only load a small batch of rifle ammo. I’m not one of those guys who cranks out thousands of rounds. I'm curious, what’s your go-to trimmer for those low-vol jobs? I’d love to hear your favorites and what you like about them!

When it comes to trimming, I have to say that my go-to is the LE Wilson case trimmer with the micrometer adjustment. Sure it’s a bit of an investment but let me tell you, it’s incredibly precise and built like a tank. I've used it on everything from .223s to .308s, and it's never let me down. It just gets the job done, and I can't imagine using anything else.

Curious, do you usually operate it by hand, or do you pair it with a power unit?

I have the power adapter for my LE Wilson trimmer. I use it both ways, depends on what I am reloading.
The power adapter works well for straight wall cartridges, i.e. 45/70, .450 Marlin, etc. It also works very well on .300 Win Mag and .300 Bee Mag.
The hand crank works just fine as well, just a little slower.
