What 20 ga shotgun do you all recommend for Skeet shooting in the $1500 or less range. Seems most of my research does not really specify skeet. I have plenty of Trap shotguns and they do just OK on the skeet field. But I want better! I know some might say any shotgun as long as you place the shot where the clay is going to be! And what pattern do you think. My Browning shoots about a 90/10. And on another note, if you got one for sale, I'm still looking!

Have you considered a CZ or a gently used Browning or Beretta over/under? They generally swing faster, mount more easily, and are much more forgiving on the skeet field than a long trap scattergun. I’d choose skeet or improved-cylinder chokes, pattern them at real skeet distances, and go for lighter loads to enhance control and follow-through.

I've not been able to find any used 20 ga skeet shotguns. And what I think I'm having to do is go with 20 Ga Companion tube set for $700 from Briely. I have a Browning725 shorter barrel that shoots both trap & skeet. Even my cheap Tristar does well in both. Trap I shoot the Tristar 7/8 OZ 7.5 Shot @1300 FPS.

The Turkish made over/under shotguns (Savage/Stephens, etc.) seem to work really well on the skeet range and don’t break the bank.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I just ended up with a new shotgun from Scheels. What a nightmare it was to order with their so-called Price Match and their shipping. I ended up with a Weatherby Orion Sporting.
It's a long story, but I might type it out later to tell you about the B.S. I went through in getting a price match. I will tell you this, however. It was ordered on Tuesday Morning, Got a message it was ready for pick around noon. I called the shipping and told them it was to be shipped to my local FFL. On the 24th I got another email saying it was ready for Pick up. I called again. Was told it might not go out till Monday the 29th due to Christmas. As of this Sat morning the 27th. still not shipped.

PLUS when I get the invoice they have charged my card yet another $50 for FFL Transfer. I called and told them it is being shipped to my FFL and I have to pay them for the FFL Paperwork. They told me it was their policy to charge everyone the $50 regardless. I told them I think that is illegal to charge me for an FFL when I'm not there in person to fill out and sign the form. Again, I was told POLICY.
So, I don't know if it will do any good. But I will be contacting the ATF and ask them about it. Heck might even get a Class Action Law Suit against them for ripping off customers for their so-called policy.
What do you all think?

At this point, I would tell them to keep the shotgun and I would pick one up on Gunbroker or have my local dealer order one for me.

Seems like whenever something doesn’t make any sense, it becomes “policy”. It’s simply another way for them to stick their hand into your pocket.
I would explain my “policy” to that dealer which is not doing business with dishonest vendors. I would cancel this order and buy one from a reputable dealer like Bud’s Gun Shop.

I’ve never done any business with Scheels but I’m adding them to my boycott list on general principle.

If I don't get a tracking number by Monday PM, I will more than likely cancel for sure
