Follow up Drama with SCHEELS. So, here comes Monday and no tracking #. The guy I dealt with was out. The kid I talked to told me the holdup was the FFL License from my FFL dealer here in Sierra Vista. "What could be the hold up? You got a copy of his license Tuesday morning." His reply was, "We have to make sure his license is legitimate!" WHAT !, "a little more conversation which I won't go into and bore you." Long story short, "I tell you what, you keep your shotgun, and I will be getting a hold of Corporate once again." Just a min he said. He came back about 4 mins later, and said my boss told me it would go out today and we are refunding the $50 FFL charge. Again, I asked so what day will I get it and I want a tracking number. "I can't give you a tracking number. You will have to have your FFL dealer call us and we can give it to him." WHAT! I proceeded to tell him that I got a tracking number in my email for the charge on my FFL which makes absolutely no sense. So, shorten this drama, I told him if not here by Monday, I will inform West End Pawn Shop to REFUSE it if not there by COB! "I forgot West End is Closed on Monday" so it will now be Tuesday
I do believe this will be my last purchase with Scheels. I might even cancel my Scheels Credit card and go back to the Discover Card where I get cash back instead of the Scheels Gift Cards. At which time I have $100 worth in my desk drawer and have yet get what I think another is due me shortly. We charge basically between $2,000 to $2500 per month. (pay it off ever month in full) here at Christmas time with car & Home insurance, plus gifts it was $3500 Plus the $1150 for the shotgun. I'm guessing I will get another $100 gift card by the time I close the account. (actually, won't close, just quit using it) May do a follow up Tuesday
Follow up 01/01/2026 Well, I guess my threat to call the Corp. office made them think twice. I was refunded the $50 for the FFL fee and they must have overnighted it. As I got the call from Jim at West End Pawn at 11:45 AM telling me my shotgun was in and ready for pick up.
